Our mission is curate content that awakens, inspires and uplifts audiences while providing viewers with new tools to deal with social challenges of every scale and scope.
Conscious Film Collective brings conscious-raising films of all types to sophisticated audiences worldwide. We specialize in the distribution of narratives, documentaries, serialized content and short-form media that touch on the pressing issues of our time. From films that deal with race relations (Chapter & Verse) to conscious capitalism (Good Fortune) to healing our planet (Kiss the Ground), the types of projects we curate provide audiences with new paradigms through which to engage with – and shift society.
Conscious Film Collective is comprised of a team of seasoned entertainment professionals whose backgrounds are in film distribution and conscious content creation. Together, we search the globe for the highest quality conscious films. Our distribution channels provide avenues for widespread theatrical, television, fee-for-view, and digital viewership both in the domestic and international space.

OUR TEAM

Jon Sheinberg
Jon Sheinberg began his career at Columbia Pictures as a Senior Publicist, where he eventually rose to the post of Manager of Broadcast Promotions. Sheinberg then moved over to Lorimar Pictures, where he was named Director of TV Movies and Miniseries, and later to 20th Century Fox as Director of Creative Affairs in the motion picture department. In 1989, Sheinberg became the Senior VP in charge of Production for Orion Pictures, where he worked closely with Mike Medavoy, and was directly responsible for such popular movies as Amadeus, Robocop, Platoon, Colors, Silence of the Lambs, Throw Momma from the Train and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Subsequently, while serving as President of Lee Rich Productions at Warner Brothers, Sheinberg produced Hard to Kill with Steven Seagal, Passenger 57 with Wesley Snipes, and Innocent Blood directed by John Landis. Since then Sheinberg has distributed features and documentaries to successful theatrical and television and digital releases nationally.

Cristian Bettler
An expert on new media and international distribution he ran and was head of International Distribution at Cinema Libre for 10 years and was responsible for the acquisition and successful release of over 180 narrative and documentary films. With his multi-cultural background and fluency in 4 languages Cristian is known for his unique gift in spotting the jewels and new talent while understanding the marketplace where they belong. Bettler travels to all relevant international and domestic TV and film markets and has ongoing relationships with buyers for TV worldwide.

Josh Tickell
The author of multiple books and award winning films, Tickell’s career spans a unique mixture of science, political activism, investigative journalism and filmmaking. His directorial debut film, ‘FUEL,’ is the 2008 Sundance Audience Award winning documentary that investigates the possible replacement of fossil fuels with renewable energy. For his rescue mission in the aftermath of the Katrina hurricane in Louisiana, Tickell was honored by President Bill Clinton as an inaugural part of his Global Initiative on Climate Change. His films have been translated into 22 languages, been released theatrically globally, been shown in the White House and shortlisted for an Oscar. As a film director he works with actors such as Woody Harrelson, Amy Smart, Michelle Rodriguez and Peter Fonda, Pierce Brosnan, and Dan Aykroyd. He is the author of the forthcoming book from Simon and Schuster: Y – THE GENERATION THAT WILL CHANGE THE WORLD.
Rebecca Tickell
Mrs. Harrell Tickell is a filmmaker, producer and environmental author & activist. She produced the Sundance Audience Award Winning, environmentally-themed movie, FUEL, and co-directed/produced ‘The Big Fix’, an ‘Official Selection’ of the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. Her co-directed film, PUMP (narrated by Jason Bateman) spent 40 weeks as the #2 documentary on Netflix. She founded The I’ll Be The One Organization, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to education around sustainable energy. She is the author of ‘Hot, Rich & Green’, a book about redefining feminism and the role of women in the environmental movement. She is the owner of Big Picture Ranch, a solar powered film studio specializing in conscious content.
